Update 3 at 9.35pm
An AFM helicopter has just joined a patrol boat searching for a missing diver at Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq behind Splash and Fun.
Police said that two divers – whose age and nationality are not yet confirmed – were at the site together but that only one surfaced. The alarm was raised with the police at around 8.30pm.
However, sources said that the missing diver was a Maltese youth known for his love of diving and spearfishing.
