A 14-year-old girl who lives in Birkirkara was grievously injured on Tuesday when she was hit by a car in her hometown.
The police said the accident happened in Triq Dun Karm at 5.40pm.
The girl was hit by a Toyota Townace that was being driven by a 57-year-old man, also from Birkirkara.
The victim was taken to Mater Dei Hospital.
The police are investigating.
