Two passenger planes collided at Malta International Airport on Thursday night, with initial reports saying nobody on board was injured.
A Ryanair aircraft arriving from Bari in Italy clipped the wing of a departing Turkish Airlines jet from Malta’s airport around 9pm.
The aircraft which was heading to Istanbul was manoeuvring on the apron, when the incident happened, according to reports.
The passengers were seen leaving the Turkish Airlines aircraft shortly after the incident, witnesses said.
The Ryanair return flight was expected to be delayed by almost two hours.
Engineers were swiftly on the scene to establish the extent of the damage.
