The Nationalist Party this evening said a report by a blogger that the banks had threatened to take possession of the house belonging to leader Adrian Delia was a personal attack on the eve of an important vote in the general council.

It is also a huge lie, the PN said, that Adrian Delia did not pay his dues as he had done so within established timeframes.

The party was referring to a blog-post by Manuel Delia, who the party said has been for months attacking Adrian Delia’s credibility after he was democratically elected as leader. “This is yet another in a series of attacks” on Adrian Delia by Manuel Delia, the party said.

The party explained that the PN leader did not personally receive an advice for payment and when he did get hold of it had paid €7,500 on 17 July (when the deadline was 20 July) and another payment of €800 on 16 July.

Adrian Delia will be facing a vote of confidence in an extraordinary general council convened for Saturday.
