46 people were arrested in connection with drug finds during an event in Marsa on Saturday night.
The persons are of various nationalities, including Maltese, European citizens, Africans, Indians and Americans, the police said. They were arrested after they were found to be in possession of drugs during routine searches.
The arrests were carried out by members of the police drug squad.
The drugs found include cannabis resin and grass, ecstasy, cocaine and synthetic drugs.
The arrested persons were interrogated, with a number being fined on the spot and others are expected to be arraigned in the coming days. Investigations are ongoing.
