The remains of the body found in a Valletta case last month were confirmed to be Charlene Farrugia’s, as was initially thought.

Farrugia went missing in 2008, and her remains were found on 20 July after a man was arrested in connection with another case.

Farrugia was aged 25 at the time.

Police sources said that DNA tests led to the confirmation of the identity of the woman, who had been found dismembered.
