A “pink” crossing has been installed on the main road on the perimeter of Qawra to raise awareness about breast cancer.

The crossing was inaugurated by Mrs Michelle Muscat, wife of Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, as October sees several activities and initiatives to encourage more women to be aware of the dangers of breast cancer and take preventive measures.

Muscat, who heads the Marigold Foundation, which is at the forefront of events linked with Pink October, was accompanied by Transport Minister Ian Borg.

They were “led” by the Muscat family pet Ms Habiba Perla, who seemed to be enjoying herself pulling Mrs Muscat, the minister and other foundation representatives across the street.
