A biker was taken to hospital after a traffic accident in St Julian’s this afternoon, the police said.
The accident took place in Birkirkara Road at 1pm.
The police said that the accident involved a motorcycle, a Yamaha XV 125, and a car, and a Skoda Citigo.
The biker, aged 59 of Sliema, was seen being given first assistance by a medical team and later taken to hospital in an ambulance.
The police later said that he had suffered grievous injuries.
The driver of the Skoda, a 72-year-old woman of Attard, was unhurt.
