A silent gathering this afternoon commemorated the moment journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia was murdered in Bidnija two years ago.
Caruana Galizia was killed in a car bomb at around 3pm on 17 October, 2017, close to her home. Three men have been charged with her murder.
People who attended the event carried photos of the slain journalist and placed flowers. A banner with the word “justice” was placed in the field where the car Caruana Galizia was driving ended up after the explosion.
A Mass will be held this evening, followed by a protest march.
