An elderly man is in hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a car on Sunday evening, the police said.
The accident took place in Wileg Street, St Paul’s Bay, at 7.30pm.
The 72-year-old St Paul’s Bay resident was hit by a Fiat Fiorino driven by a 30-year-old man of Santa Venera.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A magisterial inquiry has been launched.
