Prime Minister Robert Abela this morning visited the Rapid Intervention Unit complex at Ta’ Kandja to thank police officers for their work.
The work of the police has increased in the past days as legal notices related to the Coronavirus pandemic came into force.
The enforcement of such notices has added to the police duties, with Abela telling the officers that with everyone’s contribution Malta will emerge from this situation together.
Malta is bigger than COVID-19, Abela said.
Abela was accompanied by Home Affairs Minister Byron Camilleri and acting police commissioner Carmelo Magri.
