Prime Minister Robert Abela has been caught in another lie, the Nationalist Party said in a statement.
The fact that the magisterial inquiry has been concluded is proof that last Monday Abela lied to his parliamentary group and to the whole of Malta to justify the u-turn he made on the public inquiry related to the death of Jean Paul Sofia.
Abela last Monday said that the delay in the conclusion of the magisterial inquiry had led to him appointing the public inquiry, four days after the government had voted against the Opposition’s proposal.
The PN said it remains committed to fight for truth and justice.
In reply, the Labour Party said it wants to see justice carried in a reasonable time. The Opposition does not want this to happen because it prefers that there is a delay, the PL said.
