A biker was seriously injured and another was grievously hurt in two separate accidents on Tuesday evening, the police said.
A man aged 27 of Siggiewi was riding a bike in Dawret San Pawl il-Bahar, St Paul’s Bay at 9pm when he was involved in a collision with a Mazda Demio driven by a 62-year-old man of Birkirkara.
The biker was taken to hospital with critical injuries.
Magistrate Donatella Frendo DImech is leading an inquiry.
Another biker, a man aged 37 of Xewkija, was riding a Honda which was involved in a crash with a Maruti Gypsy driven by a 67-year-old man of St Paul’s Bay.
The accident took place in Mgarr Road, Xewkija, at 9pm.
The biker was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
