In a message for Christmas Day, Leader of the Partit Nazzjonalista Bernard Grech said that Christmas encourages us to build a society that values all people with the same dignity.
Because every person has their own dignity, he said, and no statistics should be used to appease one’s conscience.
Every person who is on their own, who cannot cope with the cost of living is a person, not a number, he said.
Christmas offers an opportunity for one to do something for someone else, he said. Donating money for people in need is important, but one should also give one’s time for others.
The Leader of the Partit Nazzjonalista reflected on some of the many experiences he encountered in recent weeks and days, where he was able to better understand the daily challenges faced by the Maltese and Gozitan people.
He delivered a message of hope during days that should be a time of peace, but not of silence in the face of torture, rape, or murder endured by migrants.
Because peace is not silence in the face of workplace discrimination or the harsh reality of those who sleep on benches or under some shelter.
The Leader of the Partit Nazzjonalista gave his best wishes, along with those of his wife AnneMarie and their children, as well as those of the PN, for a Happy Christmas to all the Maltese and Gozitan people.
