President Myriam Spiteri Debono on Tuesday paid a visit to the Kirkop sport complex which is set to host the fund raising activity known as l-Istrina.
It will be the first time that the activity, to be held on Thursday, will be held with Spiteri Debono as Head of State.
Spiteri Debono met the workers who are finalising preparations for the event, which will open at noon and conclude at midnight.
The event will be transmitted live on PBS, NET, ONE and F Living.
Funds collected will go in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund.
