A man was critically injured early on Tuesday when he fell three storeys off a roof while he was doing some work at his residence, the police said.
The accident took place just after midnight in Hookham Frere Street, Pieta.
The man, a Russian aged 41, was taken to hospital with critical injuries.
Magistrate Anthony Agius Bonnici is leading an inquiry.
