A bouncer and a DJ were arrested in Paceville on Thursday night after police caught a drug sale happening in real time.
The police said that officers noted a bouncer working at an establishment in Triq San Gorg in Paceville acting suspiciously.
The officers continued to observe the bouncer and followed him to the establishment’s bathrooms where they caught him with four small sachets containing a substance suspected to be cocaine in one hand, and a card transaction machine in the other.
Two other people were in the room, with one of them passing a bank card over the point of sale machine as police entered the room.
The bouncer, identified as a 21-year-old Serbian man, was arrested on site and further investigation showed that the point of sale machine was the property of the DJ who was performing at the establishment at that time.
The police then arrested the DJ – a 34-year-old Libyan man – and he was found to be in possession of another point of sale machine and several empty sachets.
Police said that investigations are ongoing.
