
A magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck offshore, about 7 km east of Comino, late on Thursday, the Seismic Monitoring and Research Group SMRG at the University of Malta reported.
The tremor struck at 11.57pm. Several reports were received from across the northern part of the islands, the group said.
No injuries or damage was reported.
This is the second tremor to be felt in Malta in the last days.
On Wednesday, an earthquake which hit off Catania during the night was felt in parts of Malta.
