There are 1,496 councillors eligible to vote in Saturday’s extraordinary general council, the PN said in a statement.
The council will include a vote of confidence in party leader Adrian Delia.
In a statement, Francis Zammit Dimech, who has been entrusted to oversee the process, said 1,496 councillors are eligible to vote after the electoral commission concluded a verification exercise.
Early voting is took place at the party’s headquarters as well as in Gozo today.
The party said that 500 councillors had voted on Wednesday – 404 in Malta and 96 in Gozo. This means that a third of eligible councillors have already voted.
Councillors are being asked whether Adrian Delia should remain as party leader until the next general election.
