Malta’s Commissioner-designate Helena Dalli is set to appear before and be questioned by members of the European Parliament on 2 October.
Dalli, who was Malta’s EU Affairs and Equality Minister, has been nominated to take up the post as Equality Commissioner by European Commission President-elect Ursula von der Leyen.
All commissioner-designates will need to be questioned by MEPs, and this forms part of the confirmation process.
