A two-year-old boy is in danger of dying after falling four storeys out of a window in the common parts of a residence on Wednesday night, police said.
In a statement, the police said that it was informed that a two-year-old boy had been taken to Mater Dei Hospital at around 8pm after falling four storeys out of the window of a block of apartments at Tigne Point in Sliema.
Preliminary investigations showed that the boy fell out of a window which overlooks the common parts of the block.
A medical team gave first aid while the boy was taken by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital where he was certified as suffering from serious injuries.
Duty magistrate Gabriella Vella is leading an inquiry, while police said that its investigations are ongoing.
