A man was arrested by the police after seven kilos of cocaine and 100 grams of cannabis were found hidden in the axle of a van he was driving on Friday night.
The van, Ford Transit, was intercepted on arrival on board the catamaran from Sicily, the police said.
The man, aged 37, from Fgura, was arrested.
Magistrate Victor Axiaq is leading an inquiry.
