A 42-year-old man from Birkirkara was seriously injured on Tuesday morning when he was hit by a car in Old College Street, St Julian’s.
The police said the car, a Renault Clio, was being driven by a 31-year-old South African man resident in St Venera.
The victim is receiving hospital treatment.
