The separation proceedings between Opposition Leader Adrian Delia and his wife, Nicole vella de Fremeaux are set to go ahead.
This comes after mediation proceedings came to an end.
The separation proceedings had caused problems for Delia within the PN as well, with many questioning whether he would have the ability to lead the opposition while going through such an emotionally turmulous time, as well as certain allegations which had surfaced in the media revolving around alleged domestic abuse. Delia always denied the abuse claims.
The case was registered on 6 August.
