Worldwide infections surpassed 660,000 mark, with more than 30,000 deaths as new cases, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The United States leads the world with more than 120,000 reported cases, followed by Italy with 92,000, China with 82,000, Spain with 73,000 and Germany with 57,000.

Italy has more than 10,000 deaths, the most of any country, or one third of the whole planet. Spain follows with 5,900 deaths, China with 3,300, Iran 2,500, and France 2,300.
